Garam Masala

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

 

  • Cinnamon Sticks 5 (3 in.) sticks
  • cardamom pods 1 cup
  • cumin seeds 1/2 cup
  • black pepper 1/2 cup
  • cloves 1/2 cup
  • coriander seeds 1/2 cup
  • Coconut – grated (opt.) 1/4 cup

Directions:

 

Dry the in an oven. Do not let them turn brown.
Remove the seeds from the cardamom pods. Pound cinnamon
stick into smaller size. Combine until they are well
mixed and blend at high speed for 2 or 3 mins. till completely
pulverized
